Rob Woodbury – Simon Fraser University
A Professor of Interactive Arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University, I think that composition, the explicit structuring of ideas, is crucial in making complex and compelling architecture. I have lots of geometry knowledge, so can help sort out tricky problems in relating things in space. My background as researcher in design rules may help projects that want to consider systematic changes at multiple levels of design. With students, I've built the design patterns repository (www.designpatterns.ca) -- effectively these are power tools for parametric modeling. If you want to create lots of alternatives, I have some tricks that may help. I’ve taught programming for years, so can especially help with projects that require significant scripting.
